Core Academics

EEI Creative Arts, School of Film & Entertainment provides a cutting-edge curriculum designed for the filmmakers and musicians of tomorrow. Our unique approach to education allows students and their families the freedom and support to pursue their dreams without sacrificing quality education.

The Creative Education of the Future

EEI Creative Arts (ECA) is a private middle and high school offering college preparatory education while specializing in film, digital media, and entertainment.

The film, digital media, and entertainment industries are radically changing. Evolving business models, creative techniques, and advancements in technology (from previsualization to post-production visual effects) require new skillsets and a new generation trained and educated in technology-driven creative production.

ECA has at its core a team of Hollywood studio executives and film professionals who are devoted to a dynamic and holistic pathway to film and digital media education. Our students will apply their in-class learnings year-over-year to produce professional-grade creative work within a development plan that builds towards a portfolio not only for top college admissions, but also Hollywood recruitment.

In short, it is the first school geared for the next generation of visual creators.

The ECA Solutions for Dynamic Creative Education:

1. Future Skills for Future Media Leaders
ECA was founded by Hollywood leaders and veterans with the goal of teaching today’s cutting-edge techniques in order to shape tomorrow’s media trends. Students will prepare for the film and entertainment industry of the future, exploring new methodologies, mastering new skills, and creating high-quality portfolios. From the design of the course curriculum to the emphasis on experiential group projects, the ECA School of Film & Entertainment was built with the intention of paving the way to top film schools, and subsequently the top entertainment companies, all with the assurance that this is their passion.

2. Efficient Academics, Powered by Elite Open School
ECA has chosen, as the provider and partner for its core college preparatory education, Elite Open School, a fully WASC and Cognia accredited middle and high school. Elite Open School provides both the accredited curriculum and the proven learning system through which students will complete A-G graduation requirements set forth by University of California. Because ECA students can successfully contain their core education classes to morning hours, the rest of a student’s free time can be devoted to Creative Arts courses and coursework. In this way, ECA students will have the opportunity to dedicate blocks of time to in-depth, creative training.

3. Robust Transcript, Resume, and Portfolio Development
ECA students will have a semester on semester, year on year progression of cutting-edge creative coursework, leading to the kind of resumes and application portfolios that college admission officers want to see. At ECA, creative avenues are the “in-school” experience. Rather than relegating a student’s artistic interests to an after-school passion project, ECA weaves creative arts programs into the curriculum, emphasizing mastery of the related methodologies and skills for a career in a given field. As students advance through the years, they will concentrate within a specific track, with courses devoted to portfolio development.

4. College Admission Assurance by Elite Education Group
ECA and EOS are members of the Elite Education Group, a leading college preparatory education provider founded in 1987, with education centers in over 50 locations and 7 countries. For over 30 years, Elite has been guiding students and families of all backgrounds and situations to achieve their college admission dreams. ECA students and parents, in the same way, can rest assured that every preparation needed, from standardized test training to college consulting, will be provided with the same dedication and exemplary track record. ECA is the only creative arts school backed by the full resources of Elite Education Group where students will receive portfolio and resume guidance from industry luminaries and former deans of the top US film programs.
