About Us

Founded in 2012, EEI Creative Arts, School of Film & Entertainment launched as a a fully accredited private middle school and high school offering top college preparation through blended learning and specializing in professional level development and training in the creative arts.

ECA's School of Film & Entertainment began as a collaborative development between Elite Educational Group, one of the world's leading educational institutions, and world-reknowned musical talent and producers, to establish an academic institution tailored specifically for students pursuing a passion in contemporary music. Since then, the ECA School of Film & Entertainment has partnered with some of Hollywood’s top filmmakers, screenwriters, and producers to expand its curriculum to include creative disciplines in Screenwriting, Directing and Cinematography, Film and Media Production, and Post-production Visual Effects and Editing. Located in Los Angeles, at the heart of the entertainment industry, the ECA School of Film & Entertainment was created with a vision to connect the artists of tomorrow with today's leading entertainment professionals through a rigorous, real-world learning environment.

Our WASC-accredited programs thoroughly prepare each student for college admissions and our Minerva Institute partnership further ensures course offerings will meet a high caliber of academic rigor. Meanwhile, our world-class instructors and state-of-the-art equipment provide a jump-start to a dream career in film, media, and music via a pre-professional academic experience at the intersection of art and technology.

Our Advisory Team

With deep insights informed through educational and professional Hollywood expertise, our carefuly curated Advisory Team collaboratively designed courses alongside the ECA staff to prime students for a variety of creative careers while emphasizing a hands-on, project-driven curriculum. Each program advisor contributed unique perspectives on the curriculum as it relates to simulating real-world scenarios, portfolio-building, and general college readiness. The resultant course offerings reflect the outcome of roundtable deliberations to formulate programs that develop the requisite critical thinking and practical skills for a future in the dynamic world of film & entertainment.

ECA is powered by Elite Open School (EOS), part of the Elite Education Group which has been focused on college preparation since 1987. EOS is fully accredited by The Western Association of Colleges WASC and by Cognia (formerly AdvancED). EOS provides University of California (UC) Approved courses and College Board Approved Advanced Placement (AP) Courses. Graduation from EOS satisfies UC A-G Requirements. EOS is also DHS/SEVIS i-20 Certified to issue student visas.

In 2021, ECA formally partnered with the Minerva Project to transform traditional education. The Minerva Baccalaureate is an innovative four-year program through which students apply essential skill sets across their core subjects to build competencies including complex critical thinking, advanced problem solving, and strategic decision-making. By connecting classroom learning with hands-on skill development, the Minerva partnership uniquely prepares graduates not only for college acceptance but real-world success at top institutions and beyond.

Heart of Los Angeles

In addition to being the the home of Hollywood, Los Angeles is also the epicenter of the film and entertainment industry, new-age, technology driven media companies, inventive production companies, and various creative ventures.

Consequently, the ECA team made the conscious decision to lay down roots in the City of Angels. Our founders envisioned a campus that would expose students to the events and opportunities abounding in the heart of Los Angeles as these young creatives progress through their formative, academic years. By establishing a presence in Hollywood, the ECA School of Film & Entertainment our students will benefit from the close proximity to industry leaders, externship and internship opportunities, film festivals and more.

As they sharpen their technical acumen and build their professional networks at our campus in the heart of Los Angeles, our students will have the access required to become a part of the fabric that is Los Angeles’ arts culture at a young age. Through our program, we aim to create the future leaders in film and entertainment.

A top priority for ECA was to identify advisors that shared our vision of equipping young minds with the practical tools and experiences to thrive in a creative environment. The ECA Program Advisory Team is composed of individuals with distinguished careers in the fields of both entertainment and education, drawing from their knowledge in each discipline to devise a framework for the next generation of creatives.

Every week, all students gather and sit in cohorts to start the week with dynamic Harkness Table discussion based on core texts set for each grade. Students would draw upon the diversity of coursework for evidence in discussion and writing.

Academic Coaches help reinforce student accountability with course and content mastery milestones, help set weekly and semester goals, report progress, proctor tests, render writing assistance before submissions, and help implement students’ best practices for digital study.

Project-Based Learning
Every week, all students, according to their grade, take part in school-wide Project Based Learning with weekly, monthly and semesterly goals, all advised by Coaches so that all students have a resume of experiences and action by college application time.
